Theoretical-practical course
In this course we will approach the practice of writing poetry through the poetics of Earth, Water, Air and Fire. We will see how the dynamics of the primordial elements nourishes the imagination and allows the expression of poetry, tuning our sensitivity to the sounds, the networks of images, the colours of the words of each of the elements.

Who is the course for?
The general public: This course is for anyone interested in writing poetry who wants to try out the experience of writing, or anyone who wants to go deeper into their practice.
Students and graduates of literature: who want to perfect their knowledge of the creative process by living the inner experience of poetry.
Professional writers, poets, and teachers of literature: who want to go more deeply into their practice and integrate into their teaching the experience of poetry according to the approach of the dynamics of the imagination of the primordial elements.

What will you learn?
1. Learn about the dynamics of the imagination through the archetypes of the primordial elements in order to understand how one experiences and forms part of the process of poetic creation.
2. Develop your sensitivity to the material of the elements and refine your perception to express it in the poem, letting yourself be guided by the sounds, musicality, rhythm, and networks of images.
3. To question and reflect about the nature of poetry in order to go more deeply into its practice, and to share it while receiving constructive comments to pursue the creative impulse.
4. To illustrate and recognize materials of the poetics of the elements through excerpts from poems to enhance our understanding of poetry.

Teacher of poetry and literature, non-thesis PhD in French Studies from the University of Sherbrooke in Quebec, Canada.
Masters in Literary Studies from the University of Quebec in Montreal.
Teacher of literature and poetry for more than 25 years in several institutions, including the departments of Arts and Humanities of several Canadian universities.
